Currently these rod may or may not be in stock when you order them, however the average time to build and ship this rod is only 7 days. The rod shown is a 30-60 lb 7 foot rod. In Black and Blue ... these same rods are also available in Black and Gold ... The 20-50 and 40-80 lb rods will be built using the exact same components and wraps at the same price.
These are true custom rods you wont see on a shelf anywhere. From the blank to the Sharkskin rear grips to the exclusive guides and the triangular fore grip. Custom.. This specific 30-60 lb blank is manufactured for us by Batson Enterprise to our specifications, Batson is probably best known for there Rainshadow rod blanks. The other rods in this series are built with the Rainshadow blanks. All of these blanks are a graphite/e-glass blend, it is graphite from the butt 2/3s of the way to the tip then it turns to e-glass for the last 1/3 of the blank. This gives you a lighter more sensitive rod with a very durable and forgiving tip. The best of both the e-glass and graphite worlds. The rod starts with a Pacific Bay aluminum gimbal. The rear grip is a custom crafted, diamond wrap. This grip is crafted, with Sharkskin .. Sharkskin is a very durable material manufactured to withstand use in the harshest of environments. It is smaller in diameter then the common EVA grips with a diamond pattern under the sharkskin to enable better grip and hand to rod feel. The diamond style wrap will also allow you to retrieve the rod from a rod holder when under stress much easier then the ring style wrap or and EV foam rear grip. Sharkskin is tough enough that if you want a rougher surface texture you can just sand it with a large grit sand paper. It doesn't get slick when wet. It is extremely durable, it will be on your rods after your EVA foam has turned to dust. The reel seat is from Pacific Bay, it was chosen for this set of rods because, it has a graphite body, light and nice to the touch, and it has strong aluminum hoods, plus this reel seat has a locking nut behind the large tightening nut. This is something you almost never see on spinning rods. With the price of good spinning reels, i was glad Pacific Bay stepped up to the plate with an well thought out reel seat built to be light, strong and have security for your reels. The reel seat has hoods and nuts to match the gimbal. The fore grip is a triangular EVA foam grip we had manufactured for us to our specifications. It has a great transfusion from the reel seat and to the blank. The triangular shape will allow you to hold you rod with minimum of twist and turn, and will offer a very comfortable less tiring grip when you get into the long drawn out battles with YFT or any larger fish .. The 8 guides and tip are also manufactured by Batson, the frames are manufactured with 316 stainless steel 2 x black chrome plated for exceptional corrosion resistance. The inserts are Zirconium, plated The Zirconium inserts are extremely hard, smooth and dissipates heat well. Perfect for braided or mono line, they also look good. Each guide is under wrapped with black thread to insure no guide to blank contact. The they are attached with 4 layers of C size thread for maximum strength. The guides are black with blue inserts ... the first guide on the 40-80lb ... 20-50 lb and the 30-60 lb rods is and over sized 50 mm .. this guide is large enough to allow the line to flow off large reels with the larger spools with a minimum of drag when entering the guides. This will allow for longer cast. The rod is wrapped in black with blue foil trim .. a great match for the gimbal, reel seat and guides. It has a matching black and blue fancy wrap in front of the fore grip. these rods are durable, beautiful and functional. They have been built and have been used for jigging iron and casting popper to YFT with great success. And can be use in a variety of ways for a variety of big game species.

These rods may be special ordered in silver with silver guides or red with black guides ... Any rod may be ordered with a choice of the sharkskin fore grips or round EVA foam fore grips or EVA foam rear grip, at the same price ...

In and effort to offer as many choices of custom rods to our customers as possible. We build and show several different rod styles with several options in our EBay ads
We try to keep at least one of the rods we have advertized in stock all the time.
However it would be simply impossible to build and stock
all these rods with all the options of thread colors and all the available wraps, and all the component color options in stock all the time.
If the specific rod you are requesting is not in stock, the normal time to craft and ship the rod is approximately 10-14 days.
Please drop us a line to inquire about different components or rod colors. Or any special request. Most colors changes will be able to be achieved with out any increase in the price of the advertized rod.
