Large Exotic Black Coral Sea Fans.   These make great backgrounds for either freshwater or saltwater aquariums.   Also for general nautical and beach decor themes.   These hard to find large sizes run from approximately 22" to 26" wide and about 26" to 30" high.  Sizes are general and will vary slightly.

These are considered to be soft corals and belong to the order Antipatharia, which are related to the Gorgonian corals.  In life, the fan framework holds colonies of coral polyps which feed on plankton. They are found in fairly deep (100' to 250") tropical waters of the Western Pacific. They are quite tough and are not as delicate as they look.  Can be cut with shears.  Be sure to check out the closeup photos for the very interesting forms and patterns.  Make excellent substrates for invertebrates in the marine aquarium.
