Actual color may vary from photo. You will receive one black sandalwood mala, 108 prayer beads. Guru head. Worn around the neck or beads can be wrapped around the wrist several times. See photo. Slightly aromatic. Used in yoga and meditation to maintain focus and alertness. Various species of sandalwood, Santalum album, is used in alternative medicine to bring humans closer to divinity. Hinduism employs sandalwood in ceremonial rituals. Buddhism regards sandalwood as belonging to the Padma (lotus) group. Sandalwood is attributed to the Bodhisattva Amitabha.
