John McDowell Williams (b.1949) is a complex artist. His subjects are many and his style is his alone. Although he has been compared to Edward Hopper, Winslow Homer, and Zoltan Szabo-all artists he admires, John's vision is continually evolving. As a multi-media {working in gouache, watercolors and oils} University trained in the Fine Arts, John knows the importance of color harmony, balance and uniqueness in his composition. Yet daily experience is his basis of Impressionist Art. The American Scene is surely a John McDowell Williams adventure.
