Description
The year is 2016 and mankind has been annihilated, hunted to extinction by a century of alien attacks. One small chance for survival remains if someone travels back in time to thwart the alien attacks and stop the invasions. You are Adam Drake, a genetically enhanced marine chosen to go back through time to stop the alien attacks and prevent the invasion. The game covers five gigantic levels spanning more than a century including Greece 1916, Java 1941, America 1966, Siberia 1991, and the Alien Comet 2016. Each time period is defined by a unique set of weapons and vehicles, including planes, tanks, cars, trucks, and bikes. Along the way you'll have to question the locals and search hundreds of buildings. With over 70 different types of aliens to overcome and more than 60 vehicles to take pilot, you'll be on edge until the final showdown.

Description
In 2050 AD, the earth has been taken over by horrible aliens, who long ago planted the humans there to later devour, and the last remains of humanity are working on a desperate plan - to send a genetically engineered soldier back into the past, and help hold back the invasion. But, as the final preparations for this Alpha Command operation are underway, alarms light up in the orbital control-station where the last humans hide - the aliens are back for dinner...

You have to explore the world, through ancient ruins and deserted lands, find hidden secrets, drive all kinds of vehicles and stand against the alien invasion to save the earth.

Trivia
Body Harvest can be seen as a precursor to the Grand Theft Auto series. It was developed by DMA Design, who later became Rockstar North, and the games share many features including the free-roaming aspect, ability to switch between travelling on foot and in vehicles and the ability to enter buildings. The onscreen objective indicator and mini-map are also very similar.
