VeRO members, eBay Trust and Safety and eBay Customer Support Departments see below. This is a rare original pair of German WWII Luftwaffe Paratrooper Officer and Pilot Officer Jack-boots with zippered sides and rubber Continental soles similar in style to the 1st Pattern Paratrooper side-lace Jump boot soles. The boots are really interesting, are in about a US 9 1/2 or 10, and are in excellent condition showing honest use and no abuse. In fact, they are sturdy enough to be worn today. The leather is a nice even black color and is sturdy and strong. These boots measure 11 1/2 from the heel to the toe and are 4 1/4 wide at the widest part of the sole. They are 13 tall at the top of the barrel. The sole is a single piece Continental Brand type with chevron design very similar to the Paratrooper boot. The bottom of the arch area is marked with the Continental brand logo. Inside each boot top is the standard German boot marking in a single line. However, it is pretty worn and illegible. I have photographed it but it doesnt show up well. The zippers are ZIPP brand like those found on Paratrooper jump smocks and on many Luftwaffe Pilot uniforms. The zippers are fully functional and have been photographed in the open and closed positions. The inside is partially lined with sheep wool which shows wear. These boots are very impressive looking and are quite heavily made. This is one of the rarest pair of German WWII boots I have ever had. They have not been recently cleaned, oiled or shoe-polished and have a nice, untouched look. These are rare, rare, rare. Good luck. I also have many other US, German and Japanese military items and some general antiques listed now on eBay. Please click on View sellers other items above to see these other items. Thank you and good luck in your bidding. NOTE to eBay: I do not list any item that violates any of eBays listing policies. While this listing is for an item produced in Germany during the WWII period, there are no Nazi or otherwise offensive markings on it, nor does it have any connection to a Nazi organization. This lot is fully compliant with eBays restrictions on WWII German items. Specifically the restriction on: Items that bear symbols of the Nazis, the SS, or the KKK, including authentic German WWII memorabilia that bear such marks. This item has no swastikas or other Nazi type markings and does not promote hate, violence or racial intolerance (or organizations dedicated to such notions). This item fits into the second category of eBays: Examples of items that may generally be listed: German coins and postage stamps (canceled or otherwise) from the WWII era regardless of markings. WWII memorabilia that does not bear the Nazi or SS markings. Books and movies about WWII or Nazi Germany, even if the Nazi symbol appears on the item. War documentaries or documentary photos portraying victims of war or violence. Items of historical importance associated with acts of violence against public figures.
