Designed to go anywhere the Bose® SoundDock® Portable offers the equal performance of the popular SoundDock® digital music system – but is now portable and can be enjoyed anywhere. This portable iPod Speaker, the SoundDock® Portable, features unmatched performance and a new slim design. Bose® patented neodymium speakers and waveguide speaker technology were developed exclusively for the SoundDock® Portable allowing for a sharp sound that comes from a thin profile.

Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Batteries allow for maximum power and a longer playtime than many other kinds of rechargeable batteries giving you hours of music enjoyment. The proprietary acoustic design allows the Bose® SoundDock® Portable to reproduce audio in higher quality and with much more efficiency  than other speaker systems powered by battery.

The SoundDock® Portable's Rotating dock folds within the main enclosure so it can easily slip into the SoundDock® Portable bag (optional accessory). An included carrying handle doubles as a waveguide exit for a better and more efficient use of acoustic space. Your iPod® will also charge when the SoundDock® Portable system is operating on battery power or while plugged into an electrical outlet so you can be assured that your iPod® is charged and ready to play at any time. The Convenient docking mechanism is designed to work work with most iPod's®.

The SoundDock® Portable's remote control will adjust the systemÂ’s volume and also controls its basic iPod® functions like playlist navigation – from virtually anywhere in the room. The SoundDock® Portable's system allows you to operate and utilize basic iPod® functions and you also have full control of your iPod when itÂ’s docked. The Volume control buttons have been inconspicuously placed on the system's side panel to let you adjust the volume of your music even if the remote is not readily available. Another nice feature is Ramping volume  which allows the SoundDock® Portable system to gradually increase the volume when itÂ’s first turned on, so instead of blaring music right away, it will gradually work its way up to the volume it is turned to.

An Integrated system design matches speakers, amplifiers and equalizers  that allows better acoustic performance and provides consistent acoustic quality without the worry or inconvenience of complex component adjustments. A variety of proprietary signal processing technologies allows the SoundDock® Portable systemm to deliver an enjoyable listening experience no matter what the volume level.
