You are looking at a wonderful bowl by Mari Simmulson and Upsala-Ekeby.

 
Mari Simmulson was born in 1911 in St. Petersburg of Estonian parents. She trained at the State Design School in Tallin to sculptor and potter.
1944 Mari came to Sweden. She worked on Gustavsbergs porcelain factory until 1949 when she was employed at Upsala Ekeby, where she worked until 1972.
 
Mari Simmulson is represented in many places. Among others at the National Museum in Stockholm, the Victoria and Albert in London, in Faenza and Trondheim.
 

According to me, it's in excellent condition except few small almoust invisible chips on the rime. Please, look at the pictures.

 

It measures app 7.5" (19 cm) in diameter. Signed with UE for Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden and 8053 M for Marie Simmulson.There is

also her mark in a "circle-shaped tear".

 

This is really an opportunity for all collectors and Upsala Ekeby fans all over the world.
