A NOTE on sizing: For some reason, Scarpa sizes these boots with UK sizes.  (Yes, they're an Italian company selling boots in America and they use UK sizing? Strange.)   These boots are marked size 11 and (according to Scarpa's chart) the US equivalent is size 12, but it is recommended that you upsize 1 full size.  So for most people with a US shoe size of 11, this WILL be the right size boot for them.  Please see the more detailed Sizing Note below for more info.

Tried and true, the Scarpa Inverno Boots are a great general mountaineering and cold weather boot.  The Inverno is the do-all, choice. Your feet stay warm and dry without sacrificing the ankle flexibility and support needed for technical terrain.  Combatable with step-in crampons.  

The Inverno's proven design features a soft and pliable hinged cuff and a built-in natural rocker sole that will increase your foot mobility and also enhance hiking comfort. Vibram sole has interior cork footbed to aid shock absorption and increase insulation. Standard inner boot is equipped with a durable camp sole.  The Pebax Plastic shell remains flexible even in extreme cold, the soft tongue is anatomically molded for shin comfort, and the EVA-insulated inner boot is light yet very warm -- it's a good boot for below zero degree temperatures and an excellent technical boot for all purposes.

Sizing Information:

I really recommend trying this boot on for size and fit in your local climbing store first. 

A NOTE on sizing:  
Scarpa sizes these boots in UK sizes.   Scarpa provides a chart (at left) that gives you approximate US equivalent sizes But please take this with a grain of salt as  most people find they should upsize about 1 full size from the chart.  

So what does that mean?
It means this:

EXAMPLE: If you are a US size 11, the chart tells you that's a UK size 10 -- but you should probably go up one full size.  So that means if youre an 11 then you should probably just buy the size 11.   

But that's for the average foot.  Your proper size depends greatly on the shape of your foot, the thickness of your socks and personal preference. If you have a wide or a narrow foot, you might need to adjust the sizing.

And remember, these are just general guidelines.  If it is possible, I urge  you to go and try these boots on first at your local store.

 

Remember, these are BRAND NEW -- exactly like the ones you can buy in your local climbing store -- only here you can get it for less!


RETURN and REFUND Policy:
US Customers:  
NO REFUNDS but I will allow you to EXCHANGE for a different size but only if I have the size in stock (and I have very limited quantities of each right now).  If you must do an exchange, you pay shipping each way.  And If I DO NOT have the size you want for the exchange, there are NO refunds. (And, of course, the boots you return must be unused.) 
International Customers:   
If you are an international customer, there will be NO REFUNDS and there will be NO EXCHANGES -- with shipping charges it would not make economic sense.  (And with the US$ so low, you can probably just re-sell them for what you paid, or more.)
