NEGROES WASHING FOR DIAMONDS IN BRAZIL
Published by Thomas Kelly, London 1817 in "Kelly's New System of Universal Geography"
An interesting and attractive copper engraved antique print of a diamond washing plant in Brazil, with slaves working under supervision of whip carrying overseers.
The decorative border and dark, crisp impression would display well if mounted and framed.
There is patchy browning, and a tear, just touching upper right corner has been repaired verso.
Approx. 8" x 5.5" (200mm x 140mm) including the decorative border, with good margins beyond.
A GENUINE ANTIQUE PRINT GUARANTEED OVER 190 YEARS OLD FROM LINDISFARNE PRINTS
We do not deal in reproductions, facsimiles or copies of any kind.
