This lanyard combines David Christensen Cane glass and Swarovski Crystals-an unbeatable combination. David Christensen makes lovely chunky glass beads that are colorful and very artistic. In this lanyard I used 7 cane glass beads from his “Quietly Classy” collection which have a core of amethyst glass with an overlay of stripes of gold, green and blue. To set these lovely canes off I added Amethyst, Olivine, Peridot, Light Colorado Topaz AB, and Peridot AB2X Swarovski Crystals; Purple and Blue Celestial Crystal Rondelles; Opaque and transparent gold Miyuki glass squares. I used peach/vitrail Czech fire-polished glass in the part that lies against the neck. This is a breakaway style with an extra-strong magnet.See my other LANYARDS BH521_CANE_amethyst_110609

I have been making items for sale for over twenty years. I approach each piece as an individual work of art and love the creative process. I paint with beads, and set up my bead boxes like a painter's palette. Each item is handmade by myself, a self-representing jewelry designer.

Choice of Materials

I use the best quality components from around the world, and list these materials at the top of each item description. I only use 49 strand stainless steel flexible professional beading wire. The more strands, the more flexible the beading wire, and this is the best there is: 7 bundles of 7 steel cables twisted together and then coated with nylon for smoothness. 49 strand beading wire drapes softly, like silk thread, but is much stronger. For example, using 49 strand instead of 7 strand steel wire makes for a piece that is 7 times more flexible.

Questions and Special Orders

If you are unsure about something, please email me before bidding. I have toggle, hook & eye and magnetic clasps and thousands of beads. A large percentage of my sales are special orders. I will make an item with a different clasp, longer or a different color by special request. Just email me- I will let you know the price of the requested item. I then list it on eBay with a “buy it now” price, and email you with the item number. If you want to purchase an eyeglass holder and want black cord instead of clear connectors, or vice versa, email me so I can switch the connector for you.

Please be advised that I will not drop my prices upon request. As an artisan , I list my work as low as I can afford and still make some profit. I do not offer "best offer" options for this reason.
