THE RULES: THESE ARE FOR ALL BIDDERS/BUYERS; IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND MANDATORY READING!!!!

RULES FOR BIDDERS/RESTOCKING FEE POLICY: Serious bidders only!! This is not a casual thing for me. I am a serious collector and re-seller. Remember, if you bid and win, you have entered into a legal contract with me to purchase this item.

However, personal emergencies can happen to anyone and I am not heartless. Please explain your circumstance and I will see what can be done to help.

That said, I am automatically out AT LEAST $4.00 by not reporting the item or items as “UNPAID” to eBay and insisting that you follow through with the transaction (which is the only mechanism eBay provides for any seller to acquire a “credit” for final value fees charged by eBay, but does nothing to help defray relisting cost of the item).

So, as of 8/30/08 part of my policies includes the following stipulation:

If you do not follow through with the transaction you have committed to and we mutually agree not to complete the transaction based on my review of your circumstances to bow out of the transaction,  I must charge a “Restocking Fee”.  So, this fee as described here as a flat $2.00 fee + 2% of the sale value of the item or items excluding shipping and insurance.

If no contact is made with me regarding a sale and payment is not received within 10 days of auction end I will file a “non-payment” complaint with eBay. Not paying for the item or items after eBay has contacted you directly, will cause you to be issued an “unpaid item strike”.  Three of these and I believe it is eBay’s policy to suspend you as a member.  So, please do not bid if you think it is possible that you will not be able to follow through with the transaction. Thank you. 

I also reserve the right to cancel any bids made by those with less than 5 feed back, so, please email me and ask for approval before bidding on any of my items if you are “NEW TO EBAY”. I reserve the right to cancel bids by buyers who have been given or have given excessive negative feedback.  I also reserve the right to permanently block bidders who act in nasty or irrational ways or who fail to communicate in a civil manner or fail to follow through with transactions or these guidelines. 

Satisfaction Guarantee/Return Policy:

 Though I am a model horse Judge I steer clear of calling myself all knowing, I am a mature life long enthusiast, live model shower and collector. Please take the time to scrutinize the photos provided. Don’t be shy! Please ask for additional photos if this will help you feel more comfortable about bidding. I will send them through e-mail. Please understand that I try very hard to be very, very honest about the condition of my Breyer horses, my reputation speaks for itself - but even I can miss things! However, I do not take these guys back once you have won them unless an item has been grossly misrepresented (which I will issue a FULL refund or merchandise credit for your purchase price including shipping & insurance as well as return shipping and insurance) so please check each item you plan on bidding on before you bid, ask any questions you need to. Don't buy the wrong item in error, I cannot refund changes of heart, sorry!  God Bless and good luck bidding!

NOTES CONCERNING TYPES OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED:  AT THIS TIME , I generally provide two ways to pay for your item(s), I ACCEPT PAYPAL IN U.S. FUNDS ONLY--- I WILL ACCEPT AN E-CHECK AS LONG AS IT CLEARS WITHIN THE TIME FRAME OF WHEN I EXPECT AND REQUIRE PAYMENTS TO BE MADE AND THAT IS 5 DAYS. NO PERSONAL CHECKS ARE ALLOWED AS FORMS OF PAYMENT. (EBAY HAS INSTILLED A NEW “ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS ACCEPTED ONLY” RULE, SO PLEASE PREPARE BY RAMPING UP OR STARTING YOUR OWN PAYPAL ACCOUNT.

Schedule of expected payment:

#1) Do not pay for your items until I have sent you an invoice!

#2) Payment is required within 3 days of the close of auction for Paypal INSTANT PAYMENT customers. If I do not hear back from you nor receive payment on the 5th day, negative feedback will be left, and the item(s) will be re-listed. I WILL ACCEPT AN E-CHECK AS LONG AS IT CLEARS WITHIN 5 DAYS.

#3) Special extended bidding privileges are given if paying via instant payment Paypal.....When winning your first item, you spy another that ends within 8 days of your first win....notify me immediately of your intension to continue bidding on other items ending within 8 days of your first win and I will ship your items together by weight to save you shipping costs. I cannot extend this offer to other methods of payment, sorry.

Shipping & handling: Please pay only after you have been invoiced, especially important if you have purchased multiple items and wish to take advantage of my combined shipping discount, I will issue you an invoice that includes the weight of your subsequent items (also see special bidding privileges in #3 above for details).  I am not here to make money from shipping. I charge very near cost for shipping with only $1.50 added for shipping materials per order, and shipping insurance will now be included at no additional cost to you and will be included in your shipping and/or handling costs. (please note that there is a limit of 3 models in your order, fees increase for supplies as your order quantity rises). I use lots of bubble wrap on all models, some new some that is in reusable condition and free of debrey and oder.   I pack my boxes sometimes to excess; some of the shipping boxes arrive here in re-usable condition, others I purchase directly from the local Wal-Mart while priority boxes generally come to me free from the post office but only fit one traditional size model or two/maybe three smaller models. I ship exclusively through the USPS; usually you will have a choice of parcel post or priority for orders under $100.00 (except between November 15 and December 20^th when all packages are sent via Priority mail). I ship usually one day a week and will let you know what day your item(s) ships including the USPS tracking information. International bidders should request a shipping total before attempting to pay for items. Shipping choices are generally First Class International 6 to 10 days or Priority International which is 5 to 10 days. Generally speaking these USPS estimations of time travel are off by 4 days. Christmas plan on nearly 21 days to reach you overseas.  Please note that International shipping Add $3.00 handling fee for preparing your customs paperwork and packing materials. If for any reason your handling fee exceeds those listed herein, your insurance costs have been included in this section rather than in the shipping weight section. International buyers please note that shipping times cannot be guaranteed due to holds placed on your items at customs entering your country or leaving the U.S.A.. to date I have had no problems with this, though one item took 3 weeks to reach Australia, so it does happen. This disclaimer on shipping times has been added as reccomended by ebay. Items shipped to Canada do not include insurance. We are not sure why, but if you wish to insure your items, I will have to add this cost to your shipping costs. Sorry about that!

Insurance will soon become part of what you pay for shipping and handling (this is the new policy that ebay has started). The insurance will always be included in these costs and is no longer an optional thing for buyers of all items regardless of cost unless the item is valued below $50.00 and is not breakable. Then I will email you the option of not insuring the item(s).  These are new ebay policies (not to offer you a choice of insuring your items or not) sorry!. I am not willing to take the risk of not insuring items. Though in 5+ years, I have only had one model damaged, a Strapless tail tragedy in Australia. Delivery confirmation is included in all cases, but signature delivery confirmation is required on all sales exceeding $250.00, this has a fee of $1.75 attached to it, and is a Paypal buyer protection policy not mine. This fee will be included in your shipping and handling costs. Thanks!

Clarification of “Condition”-Use this guide to help you understand condition statements

4+ LSQ or Mint: without flaws--means….nice smooth seams, great coloring and is without obvious factory “mistakes” or flaws. Lacks discolorations, mottling of the paint or other such finish flaws. This also means that rubs, scuffs, scratches, chips, breaks, hoof edge, ear tip or tail tip rubs are NOT present or are so minor as to not keep the model out of the (LSQ) or aka: “Live Show Quality category”. 

4 to 4- Excellent to near Mint; suggests the possibility of a minor factory flaw or some flaw that is very slight (like slight hoof edge/ear tip/tail tip or muzzle rub or several shiny lines that are noticeable on a matte finish, possibly a pinprick discoloration that is barely noticeable, but not all of these flaws). An item such as this could still easily be considered PSQ (Photo Show Quality) if flaws do not show up in photo’s.

3+ Very Good Condition: add to the above information: a very slight/small rub or scuff of the paint over the body or legs. It does not include any scratches, chips or breaks.  Item is probably not PSQ however, since rubs and scuffs will likely show up in photo’s, but may qualify as such. Could be considered a collectable show/shelf piece however.

3 to 3- Good Condition: All of or some of the above flaws but only superficial and not in large quantity. An item in good condition may make a nice toy for a child or a nice shelf piece in your home.

2+ Re-make/Custom Possibilities: This would describe an item that is not shelf quality, either because of excessive rubs/scratches/yellowing /discoloration or other marks that are not removable. However it does not include items that fall in the below category;

2 to 0 Body only: are scratched, chipped or otherwise broken or have breaks that have been repaired, have seam cracks or other major molding flaws.

WHY DO YOU TYPE IN CAPS, (CAPITAL LETTERS)? IN CASE ANYONE WAS WONDERING....MANY OF THE EMAILS YOU WILL RECEIVE FROM ME WILL BE TYPED ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS…..I WANTED TO CLARIFY WHY I TYPE IN CAPITAL LETTERS ONLY. FIRST, LET ME ASSURE EVERYONE THAT I AM MOST DEFINETELY NOT YELLING. USING THE SHIFT KEY ALL THE TIME CAUSES SWELLING AND PAIN IN MY WRISTS. I HAVE NERVE DAMAGE IN BOTH CAUSED BY CRAPPY CARPEL TUNNEL SURGERY RESULTS. I could type in all lower case, by typing people's names such as sharon, karan, susan, beth and any other proper noun in lower case seems disrespectful. so I have opted for the lesser of these two, taking the chance that some one might not read this and think that I am yelling at them. ;o) THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING. ALSO, ANYONE THAT DOES NOT LIKE COLORFUL DESCRIPTION SECTIONS USING ALL THE COLORS OF THE RAINBOW, SHOULD LOOK AT SOME BORING BLACK AND WHITE STUFF AND SEE HOW MUCH THEIR EYE SIGHT DETERIORATES FROM THAT ALONE! MINE DID BACK IN THE 80'S WHEN ALL COMPUTERS WHERE ONLY BLACK AND WHITE, NOW EVEN DATA PROCESSING COMPUTER SCREENS ARE AMBER OR ORANGE OR ANOTHER COLOR, TO HELP OUR EYES.
