BUESCHER CORNET TRUMPET 56C BRASS AND SILVER

Buescher

Buy It Now gets Free Shipping in the contiguous USA!

For your consideration, we present to you today this wonderful instrument from Buescher of Elkhart, Indiana.  World renowned as one of the finest makers in brass instrument for the last century, this one comes to us out of an estate from over the weekend.  It has some minor dings and scratches that have taken off some of the color of the Brass and Silver.  This is not a perfect instrument, but what it is a beautiful piece of history that needs to go to a musician that will take some time to clean, polish, and play it.  We don't play so I can't share with you how it sounds.  We will answer any and all questions to the extent of having to take it in to our local music shop if necessary.

This is being sold as is.  Thanks so much!

Ok, I am gonna give you some specifics of what I know.  We've sold a few Buescher saxophones so we've kinda become familiar with those products.  I don't know anything about these.  From bell to inserted mouthpiece is 17 1/2".  I think that makes this a cornet and not a trumpet.  The finger keys are inlaid mother-of-pearl and are sticking in the down position.  It does come with valve oil, but I have no idea how to properly use it and will leave that to you.  The middle valve is marked "56C" and has the number 93123 which I believe is the serial number.  Except for the registered markings tapped into the bell (Elkhart, picture of a deer, Built by Buescher, Elkhart-IND), I can't see any other markings that would tell me more as to what this is.

If you are looking at this listing, you already know more than we do.  Please share your information, if you would be so kind.  We do our very best to give as much detail as possible ESPECIALLY on things out of our arena of expertise.  We've taken lots of pictures.  This piece comes in a velvet lined hard case, also an Elkhart.  Leather on both ends, one of those has pulled away and will need repair.

I don't normally place a reserve on any of our instruments except to just cover our investment.  We've sold vintage Buescher Sax's, Kay Acoustic guitars, Conn-Selmer clarinets (acutally have another one on sale this week), and some other historical pieces.  All of our buyers have been more than satisfied.  We hope that you are the next!

As you may or may not know, on Feb 22, 2008 eBay increased their fees to their sellers.  For the occasional seller, this will not make much of a difference as they will see the offset in eBay's reduction of listing prices.  For those of us who sell on a more regular basis, PowerSeller or not, this does affect our bottom line.  eBay has given us an opportunity to earn some of that cost back in incentives.  This is where we need your help.

We would appreciate your positive feedback AND 5 Star ratings when you utilize the Detailed Seller's Ratings or DSR's.  As you can see, our feedback is 100% and our ratings are very good.  We have some concern about what folks consider fair or reasonable shipping costs and this is where we feel we are lacking in getting the news out.

We utilize both USPS and UPS for our shipping.  They occasionally increase rates and we reflect those in what we quote to you.  Let me say for the record right now.  We DO NOT pad our shipping costs.  For the time being, we are very lucky to get boxes and shipping materials at a reasonable rate so we do not charge HANDLING.  Through experience, I am normally within .50 on our Flat Rate quotes and many times pay out of our own pocket to cover overages.  If I'm off by more than a dollar, I contact the buyer and let them decide if they want the overage refunded once they've received the item.  On larger/heavier items, we always state that we will adjust shipping costs once we know where you live to be more accurate.

Please give consideration when rating any buyer.  You can see from our feedback that we go out of our way to make sure you are happy.  We love doing this but eBay has really forced our hands into asking for help.  We have always believed that your job is complete once you've paid us and this is why we always leave feedback right away.  Alot of sellers hold their feedback as a ransom to ensure that they get it from YOU first.  This is just not right.  Your job is to bid and pay.  We do the rest.  BUT, if you are going to rate us, please give consideration to all that we do for you.  We want you back not only as a buyer but as a friend.

Timeless Pieces and Treasures

awaits your arrival so won't you come and visit our eBay store today

Our Mission is your satisfaction. Email with questions. We want this to be a win-win-win situation. One, you are happy with what you buy from us. Two, your winning item comes to you in a safe manner. And three, you will look to us for your future needs.

We accept PayPal, money orders, and personal checks.  International buyers must submit payment by PayPal only please.  We enjoy making new friends and in doing so, understand that things come up.  We don't expect you to be sitting at your computer, ready to pay, as soon as your auction ends.  But, we do expect that you will contact us within 48 hours to make arrangements to pay if you aren't paying immediately. We only ask that you keep us in the loop. As we get closer and closer to Christmas, the buying frenzy will begin. It's important that buyers and sellers work together to make this a less stressful time for everyone. Communication is what drives a relationship.  Let us know what is going on if you aren't paying by PayPal and are sending us money.  That's great.  Rumor has it.......it all spends the same.

We ship within 1-2 business days of your cleared payment. We know how important it is to you to receive your auction win in a timely fashion and safe manner. We take that into account when we carefully package your treasure in its shipping container.   We do ship quickly so if you are needing an item shipped to an alternate address, we NEED to hear from you personally and not just through the checkout system.  This will ensure your package gets to where you want it to go!

Shipping can be combined on multiple wins of like items, in most cases. Please keep in mind that not all auctions wins can be combined if there is a unique item that calls for special attention. Please contact with questions if you are looking to combine.  Auction wins that wish to combine shipping must be within a 3-day period. Insurance is optional, but recommended at the rate that the USPS charges starting at $1.65 for the first $50.  It increases depending upon final auction price. We cannot be responsible for lost items or damages incurred after the package is given in good order to the USPS/FedEx/UPS. International Buyers please contact us for shipping rates prior to bidding to ensure a smooth transaction.

We know that a lot of individuals and businesses on eBay are one sided when it comes to leaving feedback. Our opinion is that this transaction is about buying and delivering on a promise. We can?t grow without you. We will leave you feedback upon a cleared payment. PLEASE, would you do the same for us when you have received your item(s) and are happy with our service to YOU.

Thank YOU!

We want you to be completely satisfied. If you are unsatisfied because you felt you have been materially misled by our description or depiction of the item, we will gladly take it back. We have recently had some abuses when it comes to our return policy. Please ask up front any questions that you might have. We would rather cancel a transaction prior to sending the item if you are not ready to proceed. We understand things happen. If you make a return for whatever reason, we will refund you your bid plus your initial shipping costs. We will also refund you the return shipping costs ONLY if we have been negligent or have misrepresented the item. We've given out a couple of returns recently for folks who have just changed their minds. So, please........lets all play fair, shall we? =)

We are in business to build relationships and be here for the long haul.

Thanks for bidding!
