Babe Ruth Hartford Disability Policy Replica & Photo

Up for auction is a 16 x 11 color replica of babe Ruth's sickness insurance application submitted to The Hartford in 1920 and an 8 1/2 x 11 black & white photo of the slugger in a dark red leatherette presentation folio that makes a great display for home or office.

George Herman Ruth (1895-1948) was America's first great homerun slugger and one of the most celebrated athletes of his time.  The Babe's 714 lifetime homers made him a highly paid ballplayer.  To protect his earnings, he insured himself with this "sickness policy" issued by The Hartford in 1920.  The policy paid him weekly benefits if illness kept him from playing with the New York Yankees in spring training or the regular season.

The item is new and unused and perfect for the baseball fan, insurance agent, or financial advisor.
