ProTech Heart Saver Tag Protectors for Beanie Babies
When we began selling on eBay in 1998, we started at the height of the beanie baby craze, and instead of selling the beanies like everyone else, we sold the tag protectors. At the time, I like to think we were the leader in the market, and sold millions of these little plastic things to protect millions of beanies. And though we experimented with other brands occasionally, it was always the ProTech Heart Saver tag protector that turned out to be the favorite of our customers.
After a while, we branched out and added other protective holders to our product line, started a web site (which you can find by checking out our "about me" page), and went into business full time filling collector's needs for protecting their collectibles.
Over all these years, even with the declining popularity of beanie babies, we've continued to sell countless thousands of the tag protectors, month after month after month.
Now, unfortunately, I feel a bit empty inside as I fear the end of an era is soon to unfold, an era without a supply of these tag protectors. Yes, ProTech Products has announced that they will no longer be stocking this item due to decreased demand. I've purchased all remaining inventory of them recently, and will be selling them until they're gone.
Will there be more? Maybe, maybe not. ProTech is willing to produce them on a custom order basis for anyone willing to order about 240,000 at a time. Will I be willing to make that purchase? With the amount of space that 240,000 of these things take (you can only imagine), and with our warehouse space already cramped, it was difficult enough to purchase the last 99,000 available, so I'm not sure if we'll be able to go for the larger load.
That being said, here's your opportunity to ensure than your treasured beanie babies are protected. The heart savers come in bags of 100, this is a dutch auction, so you can purchase as many bags as you like. If you haven't tried the ProTech Heart Saver in the past, I can only tell you what our customers have told us many times over the years: "the heart saver is the best!". They are a one piece, clamshell type protector, with a deep well, and a slot that the string goes through, put your tag into the well, fold over, press closed, and your tag is protected forever!

| S/H for this auction is $5.95 for the first bag of 100 tag protectors, $1.50 additional for each additional bag, shipped anywhere in the U.S.. Normally we ship by either UPS ground, USPS priority mail, or USPS parcel post (our choice). If you live in Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico and need shipment by priority mail, S/H may be more expensive on larger orders (more than 2 bags of 100), email if applicable. International postage is more expensive, email before bidding if interested.
