1936 German-made Alfred Arnold Bandoneon in the Argentine (diatonic) disposition, brought from Argentina by a musician a few years ago, in excellent shape. The Argentine or Tango disposition (Rehnische Tonnlage) should be distinguished from the more common European Einheitsbandonion, which is much less valuable as it cannot be used to play Argentine tangos because of a different and less complete keyboard. This specimen has the much coveted black furniture with full mother-of pearl applications (todo nacarado) and with bellows fully encased in German silver ("envarillado"). All 8 original German silver corner lires are present. Tight original bellows with period German paper. Date built, March 20th, 1936, stamped inside. All keys retain original mother-of -pearl caps. Original engraved air valve lever on right. Valve cover in back missing but replacements are available. Last tuned in Buenos Aires by professional tuner in 2004; retains full state of tune. Powerful, mellow tango sound with most desirable zinc reedblocks as shown in picture. Stamped AA in numerous locations inside. Legend "Este es el unico y legitimo bandoneon aleman..." is faintly visible near right strap. Soft lightweight carrying case included.
Shipping charge will be only $ 85.00 which includes the packaging, insurance and shipping only within the continental U.S.A.
