This box of dolls came out of an estate auction. It looked to me to be a good find for Barbie collectors/repairers. I will explain each doll as best I can. I gave them numbers and hang tags to organize them in my mind. I limited my pictures to what I felt might be important. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I am only an email away! They all have blonde hair and blue eyes by the way.
#1 – Marking on her neck says Mattel Inc. with no date. The marking on her back says 1966/Malaysia. She has silver toned earrings. She must have talked because she has speaker holes on her chest and a bunch of other holes in her back. Whatever was inside of her to perform this task has been removed. Her hair appears to be untouched by scissors. It has different lengths but it looks like it is supposed to be that. way.
#2 – Marking on her neck says 1999 Mattel Inc., her back says 1993, China. She has silver toned earrings. She is a twist and turn and she is fully jointed. She has painted on pink shoes. Someone took a pen to her hair and face. They also used scissors on her hair.
#3 – Markings on her neck say © Mattel Inc. her back says 1999, China. She has the hair that grows plus she has an extra extension. She has a pattern stamped on her that makes it look like she has underwear on. Her legs have glitter on them. She is not a twist and turn but her knees bend. Her hair looks good.
#4 – Markings on her neck say 1991, her back says 1993, China. She has pink earrings and a pink ring. She is not a twist and turn but her knees are jointed. Her hair is short like a bubble cut. It looks good and like it is supposed to be that way.
#5 – Her neck looks like it says OWT 6? Her back says 1966, Indonesia. She has a white underwear pattern. She has white pearl earrings. There is a hole in her hand where her ring is missing. She is a twist and turn. Her knees bend. Her hand and arm are in a salute position. You cannot move it, it just stays like that. Her hair is a couple of different lengths but it looks like it is supposed to be like that, it looks good.
#6 – Her neck says Mattel with no date. Her body says 1966, Indonesia. She is a twist and turn. Her underwear area is pinkish looking. I cannot tell if it is the underwear design or a replacement part? She is a twist and turn. Her knees bend. She has glitter on her legs. She is supposed to do something because she has a battery compartment on her back. Her hair looks messy but good. It’s nice and curly. She has a pen or marker mark on one of her legs. Not very big.
The Flair doll is in its unopened package. It does not have a date. It says that it is an 11 ½” Fashion Doll. It is for ages 3 and up. It is by Totsy Manufacturing Company in Holyoke Mass.
I do not know who the small dolls are. I’m guessing that they are Barbie’s little sister Skipper.
*** An Ebayer contacted me and told me that the blonde is Stacie, Barbies little sister. The brunette is Stacies friend Whitney.
Doll with Black Plaid Outfit – The neck says Mattel 1991, the back says China. She is wearing red earrings. Her shoes are missing.
Doll with Bowling Outfit – Her neck says 1991, the back says China. She has a button on her back that you push. She has what appears to be a magnet on her right hand. I pushed the button and nothing happened. Her shoes are missing also.
The clothing is mixed. The three gowns in the back and the Ballerina suit are Barbie Cloths. The others are not. At least they do not have the tag that the others have?
