Barnhart Brothers & Spindler Catalog Number 25, published in 1925 through Barnhart & Spindler's parent company, American Type Founders is 715 pages of the best collection of original type, layout examples, printing furniture, decorative elements, and printing equipment available before that time and since.
This catalog is full of graphic design examples, period fonts, many of which are now truetype fonts, graphic elements, borders, and more. This is an excellent reference for art students, professional graphic artists, anybody in the graphic deisgn field, or letterpress printers or anybody else interested in printing. Many of the graphic elements in this catalog are included in clipart collections.
This catalog contains many cast typeface designs, linotypes, copper mixed type, black and white borders of many styles including solid objects and series objects such as the Maltese Cross and the Fleur De Lis, clearcut types, steelplate specimens, type accessories, table materials such as horizontal and vertical lines with spacers, calendar components, ornaments in color and black and white, adcuts, emblems for many organizations including lots of masonic emblems, brass rule, decorative corners, wooden type cases, steel furniture, chases, furnaces and other type casting equipment, and all kinds of printing presses and accessories.
