Basket Set: 7 Finely Woven Vintage Rice Straw Baskets

This is a relist. Because my set of three baskets didn't sell the first time around, I am sweetening the pot by adding in four more similar baskets and dropping the opening bid to $6.95 - less than $1 apiece! Someone could get a real bargain.

Up for auction is a set of seven beautifully woven Chinese rice straw baskets. Here's what your bid buys you: A small colorful round basket with lots of pinks and purples, an older oval basket, and a larger basket with glittery strands woven into the weave. That was the original threesome. Now you also will receive a small hexagonal basket, a nesting set of two baskets with tiny braided handles, and a larger basket with colors of reds and greens in addition to the orignial three. Each one has a lid, and each one displays well. Placed together, these baskets display very well, and they make a nice grouping for use or display.

The baskets, as noted, are all of different sizes. The largest one is 6" across and 2½" deep. The smallest one is 3½" across and 1¾" deep. The lid of the oval basket looks like it received a coat of varnish at some point in time - the oval basket is the oldest of the three. But there are no breaks or cracks in the basket itself. All of the new additions are in perfect shape with no breaks or cracks, as are the other two of the original three. The colors are clear and unfaded. This is a very nice set for use or display.
