Kurt, I just wanted to e-mail you to let you know how satisfied I am with my SX bass. This is my first time to buy a bass and I was extremely surprised with what I recieved. The first thing I check on a guitar or bass is the feel of the switches and pots and I was pleasantly surprised to find that those on my bass did not feel cheap at all. The neck seemed perfect and the fret edges were as smooth as those on my MIA Stra-tocaster. I was expecting to have to adjust the truss rod and saddles, but amazingly all I had to do was tune up. The truss rod needed no adjustment and the intonation was dead on. The finish was very acceptable and was similar or better than the finish on American Fen-ders. Thank you for restoring my faith in "budget" instruments and proving that I don't need to spend close to $1000 to get a high quality instrument. "Hi, I received it today. OUTSTANDING, I did not expect half the quality of this bass for the price paid. . I was expecting a spraypaint kinda finish like a crappy affinity squier. I'm a guitar player, and I didn't want to spend alot on a bass, I sure am glad I didn't get a squier for twice the price (also made in china by the way), which I seriously considered. It's hard to see how they can charge twice as much and tack on extra for a veneered sunburst finish on God only knows what kind of wood. By the way, I plugged it in and it also sounds awesome. I needed a bass for recording. I had a Peavey Fury which I reviewed but traded it to a friend for a car. So I bought this after seeking out several offers. It has a very nice tone. .
