A. - To help users achieve the maximum battery life by preventing damaging over-discharging.  This is accomplished by a constant readout of battery voltage and the sounding of an audible alarm when the voltage goes below the user set low voltage alarm point. Q. - Will the alarm immediately sound when the voltage set point is reached? A. - No it will not immediately sound. There is a 35 second delay before the alarm will sound once the set point is reached and sustained.  Q. - What is the current consumption of the Volt Minder? A. - The total current consumption is 34mA in standby with the alarm set, 27mA.in standby with no alarm set.  5mA is drawn by the LED on the cigarette lighter power cord.  If a lower current consumption mete is desired, consider the TVM-1 or TVM-2 which draw less than 3mA. Q. - Does the Volt Minder have a back light? A. - Yes, it easy to read low light environment. Q. - What is the voltage range of the Volt Minder? A. - The Volt Minder is designed to work with 12Vdc systems, 10.5 - 20Vdc. Q. - Can the audible alarm be turned off?
