This handsome well-drawn historic Civil War print is over 140 years old! It is not a reproduction.  

Often these old prints have imperfections unique to the hand production processes of wood-block engraving.  Wood-block lines, spots or foxing may appear on the print or in the margins.  These generally add to the overall beauty of the print and attest to its authenticity.

How we grade the condition of the print:

• Very Fine: The highest classification we use. These prints are clean and bright with a strong detailed image.

• Fine: These prints generally have a clean, sharp image. Paper quality and margin size may vary somewhat. There may be some minor flaws (stitch-holes, wormholes, minor age toning, minor centerfold or other separations not effecting the print image)

• Very Good: No significant imperfections. Flaws and repairs are noted. Margins may be imperfect, but image is clear and unaffected.

• Good: Noticeable imperfections but still in a collectible condition. Foxing, weak print image, and/or long separations also stitching holes from being bound are mentioned.
