You are bidding on a literacy play kit which includes the following  items:

• 1~Yellow Bucket-- This metal bucket is used to store the picture/word cards.  It measures approximately 4"H x 4 1/4"W and is so appealing to kids.  We keep have also used ours to count seashells, etc...  
• 1~Beach Bingo Card-This 8 1/2" x 11" adapted card has a response box for each of the 8 items/pecs with only the word/labels written underneath the response box.  It is laminated cardstock and will have Velcro attached inside the response boxes and be ready for use upon arrival. 
• 1~Beach Bingo Card--Matching Key--This 8 1/2" x 11" card has a picture of each of the 8 items and their respective word/label printed underneath.  Children simply pull out the cards from the yellow bucket and match them to their respective picture.  
• 16~Picture cards/PECS.  One picture and word card for each of the following ojects: ball, crab, umbrella, sand castle, bucket, flip flops, starfish, sailboat.  These picture cards are intended to be used in conjunction with the Beach Bingo Card and with the literacy book, "Things I see at the Beach--"Beach Bucket Bingo."  The child/student places them into the corresponding box to complete the sentences on the pages of the adapted literacy book. **Velcro is included.
• 1-"Things I see at the Beach"--"Beach Bucket Bingo" Literacy Book-This 9-page adapted 1/2 book, measures approximately 8 1/2"x 5 1/2".  It has been laminated and spiral/wire bound by an office supply store.  All graphics match the ones used on the Bingo Cards.   *Velcro is included in the response boxes to complete the sentences which read as follows:  "I see an umbrella."  "I see flip flops."
• Instruction Sheet (includes some recommended script to read to promote imaginative play, and some extension actitivies).
• Teacher/Parent Checklist (lists suggested areas of observation).

~~This activity is designed to promote literacy skills, auditory processing-logical reasoning skills and imaginative playskills with preschool children, as well as fine motor skills work due to the need to physically place matching cards on their corresponding picture on the Bingo Card. Younger children enjoy taking the items out of the bucket and identifying them.  This kit is so versatile. One of the greatest things about it is that it helps address a variety of literacy skills whether in insolation or as part of an integrated playgroup situation.  It can also be used to help address receptive and expressive language skills--specifically Wh? questions, prediction, logic and reasoning, etc... This kit has proven to be one simple way to promote imaginative playskills with my son and his younger sibling.  The materials in this kit can be used to promote a variety of cognitive skills; one-to-one correspondence, matching, receptive & expressive language skills, counting and much more, etc...  We hope you enjoy it!

~~Just a side note, simple activities such as this one allow children to use process skills, which helps them organize the world around them.  In this particular activity, objects are sorted and matched to the literacy book.  According to the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), they support the use of simple sorting and classifying activities within early childhood learning environments.  Because of my involvement with early learning/preschool learning environments, I have used and tested many of these types of activities and think that you will enjoy it too. Due to the hands-on nature of this activity, this activity is perfect for children ages 2 and over.  ~~  Enjoy!
