Gallery - Lampwork Beads with Cherry Quartz and Pearls
This is a beautiful bracelet consisting of four
Beadgirl lampwork beads, strung with cherry quartz and pearls. The
lampwork beads are ivory with soft, carnelian-colored dots.
It has a toggle clasp and tiny, gold-filled
accent beads. Click the image at the left for a close-up. The
lampwork beads are approximately 1/2" in diameter and the bracelet itself is 7"
in length.
My glass beads are made
with love from Italian glass rods, heated with an oxy-propane blowtorch to over
2000°F. The colors are melted together to produce the beads, which are wound
around a steel rod that creates the hole. The beads are annealed at 1000°F in a
kiln for several hours to stabilize them. With proper handling, they are not
fragile and will last a lifetime! All of my jewelry is made with fine
semi-precious stones and sterling silver or 14K gold-filled beads and
