This 1964 Beatles Flexi Disc is a REMARKABLE example in BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED, MINT CONDITION - NEEDS TO BE SEEN TO BE FULLY APPRECIATED - and will NEVER REQUIRE UPGRADING.

If that’s not enough, ENHANCING the INVESTMENT POTENTIAL further the disc/sleeve comes COMPLETE with its Original FOUR SIDED GATEFOLD NEWSLETTER, and is STILL PROTECTED IN ITS ORIGINAL OUTER MAILING ENVELOPE printed with the Postal authorities date stamp, confirming that it was mailed out on ‘19 Dec 1964’ – SENSATIONAL!

Detailed Description:

The Original 7" Flexi Disc is on the Custom Cream Label with Red Print, together with the Fan Club logo and catalogue number LYN 757. This is the only flexi disc that plays at 45 rpm – the other six Flexis play at 33 1/3rd rpm. Interestingly, the Beatles recorded this Christmas Flexi on 26th October 1964, the same day as they recorded ‘Honey Don’t for the Beatles For Sale LP.

Stamped Matrix:

The official stamped matrix in the trail out groove reads LYN 757-1R.

The Disc is protected in its STUNNING and ORIGINAL card Picture Sleeve, printed and Made in England by MacNeill Press Ltd, London, S.E.1 and has two fold over flip backs to the top and bottom of the reverse of the sleeve.

….And comes with its Original Glossy Paper, FOUR SIDED GATEFOLD National Newsletter No 4, Christmas 1964, featuring the Xmas message to the Front and images of The Beatles within the gatefold and reverse.

ENHANCING the collectibility and desirability of this Official Beatles UK Fan Club Christmas Flexi Disc is that REMARKABLY it is still protected in its Original Brown Mailing Envelope in which it was mailed out in back in December 1964, in which the Flexi has been carefully stored for the past 45 years! The outer mailing envelope displays a Postal authorities stamp reading ‘East Grinstead, Great Britain’ (from where it was mailed) together with a mailing date of ‘19 Dec 1964’.

Condition:

The BEAUTIFUL Custom ‘Beatles Fan Club’ record label is in mint condition – AS NEW, looks like it would have done when it was pressed back in 1964 – absolutely NO soiling whatsoever, and NO fading to the to the Bold, Red Print – the label cannot be faulted - REMARKABLE!

The Original 7" Flexi Disc playing surface is in FLAWLESS mint condition - LOOKS TO BE UNPLAYED – cannot be faulted!

We can confidently state that the Original card Picture sleeve is in DAY OF ISSUE mint condition – AS NEW – We have NEVER offered a better one! The sleeve has been so carefully preserved from light and pollutants over the years in its Original Mailing Envelope it is still PERFECTLY FLAT and SQUARE with NO fading to The Beatles image to the front nor the printed text to the reverse. There is NO discoloration or age toning, NO creasing, NO tearing, NO handwriting, NO corner bumps, NO edge splitting to any part – WE REALLY CAN’T FAULT THIS SLEEVE – needs to be seen to be fully appreciated!

The Original Four Sided Gatefold Newsletter is in FINE near mint condition, NO tearing or handwriting and just a small crease to the top right hand corner of the back page of the Newsletter and a tiny crease to the bottom right hand corner – but that’s it – certainly NO other imperfection!

The Original Brown Mailing Envelope (in which the disc was sent to the Fan Club Member back in December 1964) is a VERY RESPECTABLE example, showing some inevitable small tears to the opening edge and a 1" tear to the bottom seam. It clearly shows the recipient’s printed address, and the original 1964 postal authorities date stamp. Please note that it is considered VERY RARE for these Original Mailing envelopes to survive, as most were thrown away after the Fan Club member had received the disc.
