Beatles '69 FINAL XMAS UK FAN CLUB 7” FLEXI + MAILER

Summary:

’The Beatles Seventh Christmas Record’, was the FINAL Official Beatles Xmas UK Fan Club Flexi Disc to be issued, and was distributed FREE to existing members of The Official UK Beatles Fan Club in December 1969.

The Disc and Picture Sleeve are both in FLAWLESS, MINT condition, and if that’s not enough ENHANCING the INVESTMENT POTENTIAL further is that it STILL PROTECTED IN ITS ORIGINAL OUTER MAILING ENVELOPE with the UK Postal Authorities date stamp, confirming that it was mailed out on ’16 Dec 1969’.

Detailed Description:

Unlike all the previous Beatles Xmas Flexi Discs, which were printed with paper record labels, the 1969 label information was printed on the actual black Flexi disc. This method of label print is usually prone to fading, however, THIS ONE HAS ESCAPED ANY FADING, and as you will see from the scans provided, the label text is as CLEAR AS THE DAY IT WAS PRINTED. The DOUBLE SIDED disc plays at 33 1/3rd rpm.

For this FINAL Fan Club disc the four Beatles recorded their separate items wherever they happened to be. John's pieces (inevitably) included Yoko. It was edited together by Radio 1 disc-jockey Kenny Everett, but this time credited to his real name, Maurice Cole.

Stamped Matrix:

The official stamped matrixs in the trail out grooves read LYN 1970-1L and side 2: LYN 1971-1L.

The Disc is protected in a BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED, ORIGINAL card Picture Sleeve, with two fold over flip backs to the top and bottom of the reverse of the sleeve. The cover was designed by Ringo and his son Zak.

Please note that the 1969 Beatles Fan Club Xmas Flexi Disc was **NEVER** issued with a National Newsletter.

The Disc and its Original Picture Sleeve are still protected in their Original Brown Outer Mailing Envelope, in which the 1969 Flexi was mailed out in, back in December 1969. The outer mailing envelope displays a Postal authorities stamp reading ‘London, S.W.1, Gt Britain’ (from where it was mailed) together with a mailing date of ‘16 Dec 69’.

Condition:

The Custom ‘Beatles Fan Club’ record label is a mint example. The label is in STUNNING, DAY OF ISSUE condition. Most flexis that we see with this label design are usually faded . This one has survived in its NEW Original condition, and LOOKS LIKE IT HAS JUST BEEN PRESSED!

Both sides of the Original 7" Flexi Disc playing surfaces look NEW and are in mint condition – LOOKS TO BE UNPLAYED – IMMACULATE!!

The Original card Picture sleeve is BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED and, without question, in mint condition – It’s STUNNING and looks like it has just been manufactured. The sleeve is FLAT, FIRM and CLEAN, and has obviously been carefully preserved from light and pollutants over the years, stored in its Original Outer Mailing Envelope. There is NO fading to the the color image to the front, and NO fading to the printed text to the reverse. There is NO discoloration, NO age spotting, NO creasing, NO tearing, NO handwriting, NO edge splitting to any part – SENSATIIONAL!

The Original Brown Mailing Envelope (in which this 1969 disc was sent to the Fan Club Member back in December 1969) is VERY RESPECTABLE, showing some tearing to the top opening edge of the envelope. It clearly shows the Fan Club members printed address. There is a Red ‘Records Do Not Bend’ printed stamp to the front. The Postal authorities date stamp of ‘16 Dec 69’is clearly printed, together with ‘London, S.W.1’, Great Britain’. Please note it is considered VERY RARE for these Original Mailing envelopes to survive - most were thrown away at the time after the Fan Club member had received the disc.

Yet another STUNNING and COMPLETE EXAMPLE of this RARE Official UK Fan Club Set – Without doubt, a FINAL UPGRADE – SIMPLY FANTASTIC!
