This is a beautiful Victorian 14K yellow gold, compact purse. It is highlighted with a black and white french enamel design. Each clasps is done in a single sapphire cabochon. It comes complete with a chain and finger ring. The enamel is in mint condition. The clasps are tight and hold well.
One side has two compartments for powder and rouge. In the middle has the mirror, with celluloid on the back (this was for writing. The other side opens for coins or such.
It is in excellent condition, only the mirror has some tiny edge rubs. It measure: 31/2"x 1 3/4"
It is stamped 14k and hallmarked with the makers mark. I am unfamiliar with it. It reads m V c and is numbered 118.
