Okay my wife says list this plate for $9.50 and let er fly. Up for bid is this beautiful 1914 Elks Lodge carnival plate. The plate is 7.5" in diameter. It is in pristine mint condition: no chips, no nips, no cracks, and no scratches to the finish. There is a straw mark that is faint over the face of the elk, and is more prominent below its chin down to the thin end of the B.P.O.E banner. Straw marks are common for this age of carnival. When held up to the light, there are a few air bubbles in the glass; again a common trait. This plate came from an old estate in Marietta, OH; which is directly across the river from Fenton in Williamstown, WV. This plate will be packed with great care in mind. I typically list all of my items for less than $10 starting bid with no reserve (save my listing fees), but I cannot do it with this rare piece. please email me with any questions you may have. |
