  Sold without Reserve! This is a beauty, an Art Deco styled vintage TV, with Channel One, which was designed by John Vassos (a famous industrial designer of the period), and marketed by RCA Victor, for under 1 year! A compact TV, only 20" high and 15" tall, that will fit anywhere within your collection. 

      The front of this set is fashioned to show off the 7" picture tube (RCA's only early small screen wood TV set), with brass around the channel selector, and above and below the screen. The mask is fashioned from several pieces of wood, so that the grain is accented. The top has a nice protruding wooden curve which also serves the function of allowing the TV repairman access from above.
      The cabinet has a light and dark walnut finish, which further shows off the unique cabinet design. The chassis is a heavy metal, great quality transformer-style unit which powers the B&W picture tube. This limited production set is quite prized among both design and television collectors, and there are informative web pages at www.vintagetvsets.com/621database.htm and www.earlytelevision.org/rca_621.html (once you buy this, you can register the serial number in the database). 

      The chassis looks clean and complete. It was stored high and dry, and is in great condition. Plugged in, the chassis tubes and CRT filaments do light up, but there is no raster. The original RCA 7DP4 picture tube is in good condition with no scratches or chips, and it has continuity, and fair emission.
      The cabinet was stored under the work bench, so there was some veneer lifting (please see the photos) and some small veneer chips off the set. Also, I see one small rub on the top.
