Beautiful Antique Patchwork Quilt in Mint Condition!

 This beautiful quilt measures 81" x 63" and is backed with muslin.

Made in the country in California as a guest quilt, this beautiful quilt was put away in a blanket chest and never used. It looks like the day it was made---fabrics still have the sheen of new fabric and the raised patterned are still as they were when it was made. The colors are very vibrant and rich. The fabrics were from dresses and clothes made for the family. This quilt was backed with muslin and was sewn on a treadle sewing machine. There is cotton batting inside.  In very good shape for the age of this quilt, as you can see from the picture. I have not cleaned this quilt since taking it out of the blanket chest. It has been aired and seems fine. It has been in my family for many years, so I hope someone will treasure this beautiful gem.
