This cheeky little fellow captures the character of our favourite bush land bird beautifully. A quality made piece signed Upton 88 to the base of the log. Staring with the log- the modelling and glazes used all indicate a top quality artisan potters work- and entirely hand modelled Kookas’ remain perennially collectible.

The piece has a few nicks and chips the end of his upper beak has a repair- and a few of the tips of the fine feathers on his wings are gone as all fairly shown below. A delicate item like this can be forgiven for a few knocks and as you see this scarcely detracts from this fine fellow on display.
