Beautiful BLACK MARBLE TOP SOFA CONSOLE TABLE w/PLANTER
ITEM DESCRIPTION	This is an exceptional and large (it's 4 feet wide) table -- it's a console or sofa table, made of fruitwood.  It has a black marble top with magnificent tan and white marbling and a lower shelf that runs the entire length of the table.   But, what really makes it special, is that there is a 6-1/4" round hole cut in the marble on the top, which is there to hold a plant, enhancing this magnificent table all the more (see 3rd & 4th photo).    It also has a single drawer at the opposite end of the planter.   What a brilliant addition this table would be to any decor!  Imagine it behind a freestanding sofa, being used as a room divider ... imagine it in a long hallway, showing off its treasures with its beautiful silhouette and magnificent marble.  Imagine it against the wall in any room!  It's simply beautiful and putting a plant into the holder would make it all the more beautiful.   This fine table is both beautiful and practical.  The wood has a wonderful patina and the marble is exquisite.  The lower shelf and the drawer provide much needed storage and display space and, of course, that plant holder built into the marble is the feature that makes it a real stand out.

Dimensions	It measures 4 feet wide X 14" deep X 29" High.  The planter holder is 6-1/4" in diameter.
Condition	Good condition.  No damage.  Very sturdy.  The wood has no damage, nor does the marble.  Not new so it exhibits a few minor character marks that are commensurate with age but there's nothing that constitute damage on this magnificent table.  Finish is original.  The marble is in good condition as well.
Provenance	This wonderful item comes to us from a lovely waterfront home on the North Shore of Long Island.  Boasting high end furniture and accessories ... this home's treasures ranged from 19th Century French to 1960s Danish modern.  They were collectors of all eras and this house was simply jammed packed with exceptional pieces for the discerning collector
