Beautiful Dark Teal Graphite Pontiled Soda Bottle-1850s!!
Offered is an beautiful dark teal colored graphite pontiled squat soda bottle dating from the mid 1850s.The bottle stands 7 1/2"tall,has a nice tapered shape,a gloppy,applied blob top with some stretch marks,and is embossed boldly in two lines"Union Glass Works-Phila.".Bottom contains a nice graphite pontil mark.Great stretched bubbles in the neck!This was acquired in a collection several years ago,looks like it might have been lightly polished,has a bright satiny finish,has one 3/4"vertical scratch on the upper left shoulder,can find no other damage.Just a beautiful dark color for a soda!!
Nice addition for the collector of quality pontiled soda bottles!!

The embossment has been highlighted for photo with a white marker,could be easily removed with polish remover.Some of it has fallen off since pictures were taken.
