Provenance The Library Reference Atlas.
Published London and New York:  MacMillan and Co.  1890.
Cartographer John Bartholomew, F.R.G.S. "John Bartholomew & Co., Edinburgh" is printed in very small font the bottom right margin.
Size / Format 18" x 13.5"  (46 cm x 34 cm)  Single sided. One Fold. 0.75" Margins on all sides. Printed on very heavy, high quality paper (almost card).
Condition Excellent. There is no soiling or foxing whatsoever.  The paper is bright and the quality of printing is a cut well-above the norm for the period. These maps are impressive, especially in a complimentary group of three.
Remarks Bartholomew was the best known British cartographer of the latter 19th century. His maps were used for the first several editions of the Times Atlas of the World. These maps are unusually large. Their high quality is apparent at first glance.
