You are bidding on an antique german mandolin from Otto Pietschmann which was built in Germany-Leipzig Plagwitz ca.1930 with new sets of mandolin strings.

 

The mandolin had some cracks on the cover and on the backside, which has been good repaired.

 

Please look at the pictures.

 

The mandolin is in very good condition for there age and is good playable.

The neck is straight and the high on the 12th fingerfret is 2,5 mm.

 

The fingerboard is made of rosewood.

 

All mechanics, foodbridge, saddle, string supportd and swivels are in good condition.

 

The cover is made of european spruce, the sides  made of maplewood,

 all solid wood.

 

The ornaments at the soundhole are very beautiful.

Mandoline von Otto Pietschmann aus Leipzig Plagwitz um ca 1930 mit neu aufgezogenem Mandolinensaiten an.

 

 

Die Mandoline ist in einem 

guten Zustand und ist spielbar.

 

 

 

Der Korpus besteht aus Ahornspänen und die Decke

aus feinstem Fichtenholz.

 

 

Die Mechaniken sind gut erhalten.

 

 

Der Steg liegt fest auf der Decke.

 

 

Der Hals ist aus Ahorn.

 

Das Griffbrett

  ist aus Palisander und 

 wunderschön verziert.

 

 

Die Bünde sind gut erhalten.

 

 

Das Besondere an dieser

 originellen Gitarre

sind die einzeln verleimten Spanhölzer

und die liebevoll geschnitzte Schalllochverzierung.

 

 

Die Mandoline hatte Deckenrisse und hinten

Spanöffnungen, die aber gut repariert wurden

 und den Klang dieser Mandoline nicht beeinträchtigen.
