Sense we had to remove the cel from it's frame we decided to take the opportunity and have the piece reframed. So we used a brand New Custom Matt and Frame. Black in color so it will match everything. We replaced the plexiglas with UV protected plexiglass. Brand New Acid-Free matting. So your presentation will come out of the box, ready to hang on the wall. A Sericel is a serigraphy process that involves silk-screening each individual color to the cel, one at a time. Every distinct shade is a separate screen, and a separate pass in the procedure. As a result of this fine art operation, each color is flawlessly reproduced. Sericels are also created in limited quantities, typically 2500 to 5000 pieces and sometimes even 9500. Because of their larger edition size, sericels are the most affordable type of animation art, ideal for the beginning collector.  James Baxter (born May 1967) is a British character animator. He was first known for his work on several Walt Disney Animation Studios films, including various characters in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Rafiki in The Lion King, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
After Notre Dame, Baxter moved over to DreamWorks Animation, where he worked on films such as The Prince of Egypt, The Road to El Dorado, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Shrek 2, and Madagascar. Early in 2005, Baxter left DreamWorks and set out on his own as an independent animator. He is now the head of his own studio, James Baxter Animation, in Pasadena, California, where he has directed the animation for the 2007 film Enchanted. This piece has been, hand signed by James Baxter, on the cel, at a recent Animation event in Burbank. I have never seen his signature on ANY Beauty and the Beast cel. So if you want to "Be Our Guest" then this is a great piece for that Disney fan or animation art collector in the family. Nik used a New Black, fine point Sharpie Pen, so you kow the graph will last.
