Beginner Primitive PUMPKIN 2009 Rug Hooking Kit & Hook

This auction is for a complete rug hooking kit by Sharon Perry. It includes everything you need to complete this 9  X  9  inch Primitive Hooked Rug. Care has been taken in the packaging of this kit - it comes from a smoke free home in a very sturdy zipper lock bag that's most convenient for taking it out and putting away at your leisure. I am calling this a beginner rug hooking kit because of the size and the fact that I have included the hook. I wanted to create a reasonably priced smaller kit for those out there who are just starting out and don't want to be overwhelmed by a large kit with a large price. I can't tell you how many people have taught themselves to hook using these kits. The pattern is drawn on rug hooking linen, a lovely fabric for rug hooking. The pumpkin is hooked with dyed pumpkin, two greens, and dyed mustards. The grass  under the pumpkin is done with dyed green and the background is hooked with my own dyed primitive chocolate. For a finishing touch I added two rows of primitive dyed plaid . Hooked up this piece would make a nice table centerpiece or wall hanging. These hooked rugs look great hanging from old country cupboards or made into little cushions as well.   Here's what you will receive if you purchase this kit:

Shipping free within the U.S. and to Canada.  If this is your first project I would suggest a wooden  hoop frame which can be purchased at any fabric store.  There are more user friendly and costly frames available, but I did my first dozen or so rugs on a quilting hoop and then graduated to the more expensive frame.
