BELLEEK "ERIN" - FIRST BLACK MARK - EXTREMELY RARE - This 17" circa 1863-1890 figure is well known to Beleek collectors and this is an opportunity to bid on an item that is normally only seen in high end auction houses in New York and London. Damage is as follows: 1) At least two cracks in bottom of base; 2) Piece missing on front face of base (see picture #3); 3) Thumb is missing on right hand and two fingers are broken off on left hand (see picture #7). Piece is very stable and a prime candidate for restoration, which we are considering. We gave the piece a gentle washing, but a more thorough cleaning is probably warranted. Condition of piece above the base is excellent except for the fingers. We had the piece looked at by a renowned expert in porcelain, here in Houston and he authenticated it and wasn't greatly concerned about the damage, due to its rarity and desireability. You can rest assured, as shown by our feedback, that we operate in an honest and up front manner. We are by no means an expert in this type of item but will attempt to address any questions or concerns. S & H is via U.S.P.S Priority Mail using Registered Mail for full insurance coverage. International please provide method of shipment preferred and insurance consideration as we have no experience with methods of shipping items of this value outside of the U.S. (Int'l shipping & handling costs are the responsibility of bidder).... Rest assured that U.S and international shipments will be well packed. NOTE: We have done limited research on "Erin" however we cannot do more than describe what we see. We strongly feel that you will be very satisfied with this piece, but as stated before, please communicate with us if you have questions or concerns. Thank You and don't miss out on this rare and beautiful piece !!!!!!!!!!
