This is among the most desirable of all historic newspaper as the editor in charge was none other than Ben Franklin, America's first genius and editor emeritous.

This historical treasure is 100% original and has never been restored. It is near perfect condition with only a small stain at the upper right of the paper to keep it out of the mint condition category.

It was obtained from America's #1 newspaper expert who appraised it at $4,000 wholesale about four years back.

He also said we'd never have another one when this is sold so this is in the same category as a high quality Custer's Last Stand from Missoula, Montana. Top US historical papers rarely appear for sale and when they do they are typically sold at public auction as part of a carefully assembled collection.

Pennsylvania Gazettes by Ben Franklin are much rarer and far valuable then the later ones when David Hall took the paper over. This is not a sales pitch as we will also be listing on eBay a great Stamp Act issue of the Gazette by David Hall.
