Art Deco Bendix 526C Catalin Tube Radio made 1946/47. All controls function normally, the chassis is clean and complete. Unit has the original knobs, trim, cardboard back, and dial scale. Plays loudly, beautifully and clearly with good tone, and no hum. Has a good, safe, flexible power cord (which appears to be a quality replacement) and working dial light. The radio measures 12 inches wide, 7 high, and 7 deep.
The beautiful cabinet has no cracks, scratches, or tube burns, however there is a tiny quarter-inch chip at the left end of the black section at the mounting screwhole. Due to it’s location, it is barely noticeable. See the photos of the left side.
This stunning marbleized deep green with black trim beauty has not been polished or sanded, and is in it’s original state. I will leave any polishing up to you. As presented for auction, the cabinet displays a great variety of greens, including kelly green, forest green, and yellow/butterscotch and has great depth even in it’s unpolished state.
