Bessie Maude is an early sock doll with just the sweetest penciled features, 12.5". Her body is the old style “A” line body made from early linen homespun. Sock arms and legs and stuffed with old quilt batting. I love her little black swatch tied to her head….looks just like something a child would do. I’ve stuck a couple of rusty pins into it too, just for more added old look. Holes and repairs and a wonderful cabin primitive early look about her. Her dress is a blue calico on cream background and her apron is more found inside an old quilt cloth with a little brown homespun pocket sewed to it. Bessie will come to you with her name and number, signed and dated. Thanks for looking and please take a moment to see some of my other items…I have a couple of early style sew pockets offerings.

This piece can ship for about 4.95.
