| Bing and Grondahl's 1975 porcelain bell depicts Saint Peter's Church in Rome, Italy. The porcelain is true underglaze-decorated that is hand-painted in Copenhagen blue on bas-relief. The bell is 5 1/2" tall and 4" in diameter at the base with a wooden clapper. At the bottom of the bell outside reads "Ring out wild Bells, Ring out the Old. Ring in the New." On the inside is the B & G trademark symbol. It is numbered 9675. The cathedral name appears both on the outside of the bell and the inside. Retail listing for this bell is $150.00. |
