Summary of My Selling Policies

Payment

·   Paypal always accepted, unless you are picking up in person, in which case cash is required.

·   I ship only to address on Paypal payment record.

Shipping

·   I prefer UPS, so please send street address with payment.  I ship to PO boxes if necessary, but never to APOs. 

·   Small items (less than 13 oz) normally ship USPS first class. 

·   The shipping charge, if any, includes insurance

·   Shipping is combined to the extent possible, depending on timing and lot compatibility.   

International Shipping

·   International shipping is by priority mail at cost plus $2-3 for handling and exchange rate fluctuations.

·   Please Note the following stipulations for Customs documents and fees:

·   Import duties, taxes, and brokerage charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are additional and the buyer's responsibility.

·   Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing - I am unable to predict them reliably. 

·   Import taxes and fees are normally collected by the carrier on delivery or pickup of the item.  These are based on import laws in your country - please do not mistake them for additional shipping charges. They do not benefit the seller in any way.

·   I complete customs forms in a manner compliant with US law.  This will be identified as "Other - Goods" with a brief description based on the item's title.  I will gladly accept suggestions for describing goods on customs forms but do not guarantee that I'll use them. 

·   I do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as ‘gifts’ - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

Time

·   I ship in batches to keep things manageable, so your item won’t necessarily ship the day after you pay for it. 

·   I rarely take more than 5 days to ship an item, but I sell many large and fragile objects, so I sometimes need all 5 days. 

·   I hope you will not judge me too harshly for putting safe packaging ahead of speed.

·   If you are in a hurry, please tell me and I will move your purchase to the head of the line.   

Condition & Authenticity

·   I have bought and sold antiques and collectibles on eBay for over 10 years, handling a very wide variety of items and gaining much knowledge along the way. 

·   I research my merchandise before offering it, but welcome corrections and such.  I don’t know everything. 

·   I stand behind my attributions and condition reports and will accept returns (unless the item is sold “as is”).

·   I usually clean my merchandise thoroughly but with minimal use of detergents. 

·   High-resolution photograph(s) provided for evaluation of fitness for sale.  Closeups of maker marks, damage, and other critical features are provided when appropriate. Please examine these before making a decision to purchase.

Refunds & Returns

·  If you don’t like what you’ve bought when you see it “live,” send it back for a full refund of your purchase price except …

·  Some items are clearly worn, damaged, incomplete, or untestable, and to purchase them is to make a conscious decision to accept flaws or potential flaws, so these are sold “as is” and are not returnable.  “As is” or similar language will be included in the description to alert you to this stipulation. 

·  Whether postage is refundable depends on the reason for the return and any statements about return postage in the description.  If I’ve made a gross mistake, I will reimburse your reasonable return postage expenses.
