Bittersweet Vine 1/2 LB Bunch * PriMiTivE * FALL Decor

Up for Buy it Now Auction: Gorgeous Bittersweet Vine Bunch. A must have for Fall and Primitive Decorating.  Unique center piece for fall Weddings and other parties. This was recently  picked and ready to be shipped out.  Since every branch is different it is estimated that your 1/2 lb lot will have approx 12-16 branches measuring 7-14" long .  I will strip most of the leaves off before shipping . I will wrap in tissue and ship out as soon as payment is received.  These already have open shells and are delicate so I prefer shipping priority mail so they get there faster and with less abuse.

Bittersweet FYI

When bittersweet  is picked fresh early in the season the berry shells are closed and are yellow - light green.   As they start to dry the shells will pop open displaying the lovely orange - red berries..The sooner you receive them before they dry too much the easier they are to work with-  they are fragile  when they completely dry.I start to harvest new crops in late August and the very freshest is available until there is a cold snap here which can be anytime from late September to late October. At that time the shells pop open and then Harvesting the fresh is basically over.  The Bittersweet that I have available now was cut before the cold snap and is in the drying process which makes it more fragile- but still pretty.  You just will expect to have more shells  fall off when handling which is normal. I will wrap to protect in shipping.  The Fresh bittersweet is only available for a limited time so you may want to get your order in early next year.    These berries are SAFE to have around Kids and pets  and are not poisonous American Bittersweet. This variety differs from American Bittersweet in that it is a climbing Vine and is more primitive in looks . Not quite as  full with berries on the branches like American which is more a bush variety.   They will last a long time if kept out of direct sunlight and high moisture areas like outside.  Take advantage of this special Buy It Now price of $5.99.  Get a little taste of this very unique seasonal beauty.    All of our Dried Flowers are grown on our Organic Farm.
