The Chokin Art
Chokin is the ancient Japanese art of engraving copper and gilding it with precious gold and silver and other decorative colors. This incredible art work first appeared on the armaments of the mighty Samuri Warriors in the late 12th century, and the stunning Chokin Art has been handed down from generation to generation. The engravings were originally created to decorate the shrine, temple and the armament of the Samurai Warriors. Today it has evolved into an art of decorating various household articles as well as prized art collections by a handful of renowned and dedicated master of Chokin artists. Dynasty brings you Chokin art collectors plates and pictures for your personal collection. Discover the rewards and pride of owning a piece of lasting beauty, a genuine work of art.  This vase is excellent condition with no cracks, crazing or hairlines.

THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR A DELICATE, HAND DECORATED SAKE CONTAINER. IT ALSO MAKES A VERY NICE BUD VASE. THE LOVELY PIECE IS 5" TALL AND IT IS IN PERFECT CONDITION...NO CRACKS OR CHIPS. THE PIECE IS BLACK WITH A GOLD MULTI-COLORED  PAINTED SCENE. GOLD PAINTED ALL AROUND THE RIM.

ON THE BOTTOM IT HAS "JAPAN" PRINTED IN RED COLOR.  A BOX ABOVE JAPAN HAS JAPANESE WRITING.

I took the picture above to show the pour spout. It illustrates the top AT A DIFFERENT ANGLE TO SHOW IT IS NOT ROUND. It also shows the stamp on the bottom.

Very - Cute!  These photo's do not do this piece justice.  This was purchased at an auction sale. I do not know ANY history on this item except what was stated at the auction. It was stated this was a "vintage piece Made in Japan", dated approximately '1920'.

It was purchased from an estate of a 90 year old lady.  There were several porcelain pieces, doll's and other collectibles.   This is just another example of the items I bid on.  I've had this piece displayed for about 8 years.

REMEMBER!!  Photo's do not do THIS PIECE justice.

I did not see any breaks, cracks or chips. I did not see any missing gold on the rim or the scene.

EMAIL FOR ADDITIONAL PHOTO'S AND ALL QUESTIONS.

DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON.  THIS AUCTION IS FOR A NICE "MADE IN JAPAN" SAKE OR SOME TYPE OF PITCHER.  IT IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION, believed to date from 1920's. This is based on my research and what I've been told.  Although I can only prove it belong to a woman's estate sale who had passed in her 90's.  I've owned the piece for 8 years now. Please do your own  research before bidding.  I have no idea of it's value, but I'm starting the bidding at LOW BID.

VERY NICE INDEED.  YOU CAN ALSO SEE FLASH MARKS HERE, NO IN REAL LIFE.
