Black Lace Velvt Antique Vintage Edwardian WideBrim Hat








Lovely antique wide-brimmed lace covered hat from the Edwardian era, early 1900s. Wire frame, completely covered in filmy black silk chiffon and then that is covered in black chantilly-style floral mesh cotton lace. A black velvet ribbon runs around the crown, and there is also a large bow made out of the same velvet. Lined in black silk. No tags or labels.

Very good condition, wearable and displayable. Only very small and minor breaks to the lace and chiffon if you look at this extremely carefully-they aren't seen without an in-depth examination and do not compromise the integrity of the hat any. A few very minor rubs to the velvet ribbon. Pin holes to the lining from hat pins.

Inside circumference measures 25" (hats from this period were meant to fit over the large bouffant-style hair-do's). Total width across brims is 15".
