The Sword of Gin Ichimaru is an exact replica of the one seen in the series, Bleach. It is 40 inches overall when sheathed and 37 1/2 inches unsheathed. The saya (scabbard) of Gin's sword is all wood painted with a high-gloss, liquid black finish. Black cotton sageo is wrapped in the traditional bull horn style around the wooden kurigata. The blade is 27 inches of 440 stainless steel with a distinctive hamon line. The blade is not sharp making it perfect for cosplay, fantasy role reenacting or use as a costume accessory. This non-sharp blade also makes it safe for display in family environments. The handle is 11 inches long and has faux leather traditionally wrapped over imitation ray skin. The handle also shows double pegs giving it the appearance of a much more expensive handmade sword. By contrast, however, the moments when he stops smiling are usually those times during which he is less annoyed about something, genuinely apologetic or in moments of deep contemplation. Gin's zanpakuto is Shinsou or Divine Spear. In its Shikai, Gin's sword glows white and extends at high velocity to impale his opponents. This makes it a formidable long-range weapon.
