NEW/SEALED CD
Guitarist/mandolinist Slavek Hanzlik has made quite an unique journey from his native Czechoslovakia. As a political refugee in 1982, he moved to and became a citizen of Canada but now a resident of Chicago. Slavek's music is a mix of his European origins and American bluegrass with some jazz and blues overtones thrown in for extra measure. Dan Crary said it best, "This recording is a small masterpiece... (he is) the peer of the greatest acoustic instrumental players of this era.." Accompanied by the best of the best, Bela Fleck (banjo), Tim O'Brien (mandolin), Stuart Duncan (fiddle/mandolin), Rob Ickes (dobro) and Mark Schatz (bass/banjo), this is a must album for any fan of the guitar playing of the late Clarence White
