The Bodhran is the heartbeat of Irish music. This ancient framedrum is traditonally
made with a wooden body and a goat-skin head, and is played with a
double-headed stick called a Cipin, Tipper, or beater. The modern Irish word bodhra'n
is properly pronounced bow-rawn, with a slight emphasis on the first syllable.

- Tunable: Internal Tunables have tuning screws mounted inside the rim, with a tuning ring under the head, just under the rim. The screws move the ring, which presses against the head thereby increasing or reducing the tension of the head.

- Obtain different sounds by tapping on the skin, or the rim; for more advanced playing you can place the hand on the back of the playing surface and move the hand position to obtain different sounds.
