It is not cracked, or broken. They are great top of the line stuff.... The start price is about 3.00 per gram this week. In November they will be higher. Take a look on Ebay. They are only going up in price fast!!! I can't, and won't price them any lower because I can, and will sell them to my friends at the mineral shows. They then go to private collections, or shipped off to China. These are top grade moldavite that sell from 5.00 to 10.00 per gram at the mineral shows. Even the broken and craked ones sold at 3.00 per gram at the Denver show. One dealer was sold out of them the first day of the show. China is buying up all broken, chipped, and ugly ones by the kilo to cut up to make beads, and gems with. Bohemian moldavites are found in the Czech Republic.. These Moldavites are found in an area of Europe called the Central European Strewn Field. Moldavites are mostly found in Bohemia and Moravia in the Czech Republic. Some moldavites have been found in Germany and Austria. Moldavite types found include Muong Nong type, splash form, and irregular.
Moldavites contain more silica than any other type of tektite which produces their green color. Bohemian moldavite types have a greater SiO2 content than the Moravian moldavite types. Bohemian moldavites are mostly variations of green from pale to a rich bottle green color. Moldavites are stunning rich green impact glasses created by the heat and pressure of an ancient meteorite impact. They are found in a very few areas which gives these captivating impactites their name. Some experts believe that moldavites are associated with an impact crater event. If that is correct it would make them approximately 15 million years old. While most impact specialists believe moldavites were created from melted terrestrial matter, they do display some characteristics associated with Meteorites. For all my International friends the postage is 3.40 for this auction. For each additional meteorite auction (each 30 grams or less) it's 60 cents more on the postage. For example You can get 5 items for 5.80 total on postage. 10 item for 8.80 on postage -- I think that is as fair as I can get for postage going outside of the USA. It's a little cheaper on mail going to Canada so I'll add cash back with the meteorites going to Canada if you buy 5 or more meteorites.. I'm not out to make money or rip you off on the postage like other meteorite dealers do on Ebay.. 2.40 total on postage in the USA for all the meteorites you buy over the next 14 days..
